ALEXANDRA MAKIN
HEAD TRAINER/OWNER
Hi, I'm Alexandra Makin, the head trainer and owner at Makin Health and Fitness Studio, I'd like to share a little bit about myself and my journey to help clients reach their health and fitness goals in a sustainable way.
For 13 years, I was a competitive Irish Dancer, dedicating countless hours to perfecting my technique and honing my skills. This experience instilled in me a deep understanding of discipline, determination, and perseverance. It taught me the importance of setting goals and working diligently towards achieving them.
After retiring from competitive dancing, I realised that my passion lay not only in my personal pursuits but also in empowering others to embark on their health and fitness journeys. This realisation drove me to become a certified personal trainer and establish Makin Health and Fitness Studio, a fitness centre aimed at helping individuals transform their lives through exercise and nutrition.
Every client is unique, with different body types, fitness levels and goals. Understanding this, I tailor personalised training programs and nutrition plans to meet each individual's specific needs. Whether someone wishes to lose weight, gain muscle, improve their overall health or enhance their performance in a specific sport, I work closely with them to develop a plan that aligns with their objectives.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my job is witnessing the transformation that my clients undergo. Seeing them reach their goals, both big and small, fills me with immense pride and joy. It is incredibly rewarding to know that I have played a part in their journey to a healthier and happier life.
As the head trainer at MHFS, I am dedicated to continuously educating myself and staying up-to-date with the latest research and trends in the fitness industry. This allows me to provide evidence-based guidance to my clients and ensure that they are receiving the most effective and safe training methods available.
